I have a Delia Smith recipe for Carbonara which i am going to cook, but it has no cream in, is this right?

Its from her how to cook range and has the following in:- Spaghetti, Streaky Bacon, Eggs, Olive Oil and Parmesan Cheese.
But i thought there was meant to be cream in it? Not that i intend to argue with Delia she is one of the best!!
Oh, i just read farther down and it says that s an alternative you can add cream in it too, but can have it either way, what would it be like without cream?
oh my god, i made it, ad it is so much nicer than anything i ever had in a restaurant!!

I never put cream in my Carbonara it is very lovely and my kids like it – I have had it at restaurants with the cream and I find it too rich.
